Dragon House

West of the Malvern Hills, in an old orchard lies the Dragon House, a partly traditional, partly modern passive solar dwelling.

A beautiful hemlock spiral staircase weaves through the recycled pitched pine and glass conservatory connecting the open, airy ground floor to the more private yet well lit upper floor.

Bedrooms have mezzanine floors in the roof. The breathing wall timber frame is highly insulated whilst the rest of the house is finished extensively in natural materials. All rainwater, grey- and black- water is cleansed through a pond and wetland system and recycled for toilet flushing and orchard irrigation.
